Edit Support Points

Ribbon: Catenary Design > Modify Objects

Ribbon: Track-Side Design > Modify Objects

The support point macro contains a series of functions, which you can use to change the characteristics of the support points beyond a huge range.

Intention

Change attributes of support points over a block.

Instructions
  1. Run the Macro Support Point function.
  2. Select the support point from which the new attributes should count.
  3. Select the support point as the last one where the attributes are counting.
  4. Set the parameters of the macro. The dialogue box is explained subsequently.

Result

Sicat Master carries out the macro and saves the new data in the project database. The graphic window is updated.

The dialog box is divided into the registers Support point and Cantilever.

Support Point

You can edit the following types of parameters:

Contact Wire Height and System Height

Activate the check boxes of the parameters, which you would like to change and enter the associated values into the input field. Thereby you can redefine the contact wire height, the system height, and the deviations to the standard contact wire- and system height with lifted and non-negotiable cantilevers in one operation.

Align

You can apply this macro function to the defined pole area. You can either align the poles with the support point or align the support point with the poles.

Span Lengths and Stagger

You can select only one macro at a time. Select Check Longitudinal Span Length to check the project oriented solution. Errors will be written to a text file. Select Recalculate Span Length Max if you want the span lengths to be calculated as large as possible. Sicat Master optimizes the solution and adapts the staggers to the new solution. The maximum allowable span length is defined in the process data editor. The Determine Span Length Anew, Only Shorten function checks the existing span lengths of the selected area and shortens them if needed. All other span lengths remain the same. With the function Mirror stagger you change the algebraic signs of the stagger.

Cantilever

The register cantilever refers to cantilevers, which are located between start- and end support points.

If there are cantilevers attached to support points, the height of the brackets has to be adjusted. With the three check boxes, it is possible to adjust the heights of assembly for the lower and the upper bracket of the cantilevers. The height of the upper bracket can be defined absolutely or alternatively via the slope of the top tube.
